Isn't it amazing that more often than not only foreigners seem to recognize the quality that is inherent in so many Portuguese artists, musicians, composers? What a shame when a country does not recognize its own values and keeps treasuring what is foreign. I'm not enough "melomano" to know much of his music. I presume he is not very popular nowadays, or at least he doesn't show up very often. I don't even know if he keeps singing or even if he is still alive. But he was quite known at a time, not as much popular as Sergio Godinho, Fausto or others.
