She was, indeed, fantastic. Such a pure voice, you could understand every word she sang. As for the text: unfortunately it is not mine! It was written by a fabulous priest/poet whom Ana knows well. She had to defend her MA thesis in front of him (don't know how to say this in English!!). Something else: I am surprised you did not comment JdB's Beatles from 8th December! Such a great song! Bjs, dear P, have a wonderful weekend. He mixed DW's original song into his own instrumental piece called On The Nature of Daylight as part of a film soundtrack. Slightly disappointing that DW was not a knowing collaborator, but I still think the result is beautiful. I came across another version by the same Dinah Washington, this time accompanied by the violin of Max Richter. Very beautiful, much more melancholic, though somewhat reminiscent of Samuel Barber's Adagio for Strings.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hJ1Ph7pUF8

Thanks, POPhiliphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14359425929048936683noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2759184487908084688.post-32032617189125822652010-12-09T17:37:27.522+00:002010-12-09T17:37:27.522+00:00Muito obrigada, caras leitoras.
