Deixa-me rir...

"Caros audiophiles, this week is the 70th birthday of Bob Dylan. So much has been written and spoken about him and his music and his cultural significance that I cannot add any fresh insight. Either you appreciate him or you don't. For many people it is his nasal singing voice which prevents liking his music. Perhaps I will offer a few brilliant versions by other artists in the future (pcp last year presented Barb Jungr singing Dylan). There are very few videos available of Bob Dylan, but here are three songs from different periods of his career.
The socio-political Blowing In The Wind is from his folk beginning in 1962, one of the first songs I ever remember hearing. The anthemic Forever Young comes from 1973, and Not Dark Yet from 1997, a self-reflection of getting older and nearer the end of life but not ready to hang up his guitar.

A proxima.

I belong to the group of people who don't particularly like Bob Dylan's voice. Yet I like him because I find him expressive, poetic, intelligent and idealistic. That is enough for me! Just one small detail, P: fq has also posted Bob Dylan. Bjs and have a wonderful day (I thought you were in Yorkshire!). pcp

MZ, maybe Leonard Cohen also could be considered a Nobel candidate?...

Thank you everyone for your comments. PO
